This event is planned for 15 days (11 – 26 June 2022) at the SRH University Heidelberg, where students from Germany and Mexico will come together to develop friendships personally and for an exchange of intercultural ideas and activities. To discuss the outcomes of the Hackathon challenges with the participants and to further develop their strategies, representatives of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), Viva con Agua e.V. Ostgruppe Heidelberg are also invited.
In the afternoon sessions of the next few days, the students will continue to work on their challenges with further supervision. The morning sessions will be devoted to training, workshops and technical input. Students can also participate in a city rally of Heidelberg with the help of the Explorer-App, by which they can visit and gain more knowledge about all water-related historic architectural highlights of the city.
A 3-day excursion is also planned so that the students may gain more practical knowledge by interacting with experts from the water resource management fields. During the visit, the students will have experience on wastewater treatment, drinking water treatment, water supply systems, among other related themes.
At the end of the event, the students will have the opportunity to present an outdoor poster session about their respective challenges and tasks, along the picturesque location of the Neckar River.
